Auction Terms & Conditions AFTER THE AUCTION: Winning items will be available to pick up from our warehouse at 7664 Airpark Road, Gaithersburg, Maryland, starting Wednesday, August 3, 2022, through Friday, August 5, 2022, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Winning bidders will receive appointment information following the auction. You must bring someone to assist with the loading of furniture. There is no guarantee there will be someone to help you when you arrive! SHIPPING will incur a $9.95 per box handling fee or $29.95 for art, furniture and oversized items in addition to the actual postage. You MUST arrange for shipping within 24-hours of the end of the auction. It may take up to one week to package and ship items. All shipments valued over $100 will include insurance. We ship only to the registered address. No exceptions. SHIPPING FEES are billed electronically. Shipping fees not paid within 48-hours of the online billing will be considered abandoned and will become the sole property of Maryland Estate Treasures, Inc. All orders over $100 will include shipping insurance. After August 5, 2022, UNCLAIMED auction items will become the property of Maryland Estate Treasures, Inc. There will be no refunds or chargebacks for abandoned property. REGISTRATION: Before you bid, users must register online. To help verify your identity, you must register using a valid credit or debit card. Validation requires requesting a $1 HOLD on funds of the credit or debit card. It is not a charge. The hold will eventually expire. PAYMENT: At the end of the auction, we will charge the credit or debit card you used to register for the auction. Please ensure your credit or debit card information is up to date and has enough space for the charge. DECLINED CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS WILL INCUR A $10 SERVICE CHARGE. SALES TAX: Maryland law requires all purchases to include the state's 6-percent sales tax. You must enter the information when you register if you are a reseller or are registering on behalf of a tax-exempt organization. Please send a copy of your valid Sales & Use Tax License or Sales & Use Tax Exemption to info@marylandestatetreasures.com no later than July 29, 2022. We are required to maintain this information by law and will not make any exceptions. Maryland law requires sales taxes to be collected on all purchases less than $200 regardless of reseller status. Maryland law exempts sales taxes when the total purchase of coins and bullion exceeds $1,000. Auction lots shipped out of Maryland will receive a credit on their shipping charge equal to the tax charged. The buyer is responsible for paying sales taxes in their jurisdiction. BUYER'S PREMIUM: Maryland Estate Treasures adds a 20% buyer's premium to the hammer price for all items selling for $20 or less. All other items will incur a 15% buyer's premium added. TERMS: This is a SOFT CLOSE auction. Bids received in the last 30 seconds before the auction closes will extend the bidding for another 30 seconds.
